Community guidelines

Shidduchim touch people at their most vulnerable. These standards are not negotiable.

Treat every profile as entrusted to you

Information you can see was shared for one purpose. Do not repeat it, forward it, or discuss it with anyone outside the introduction it was shared for.

Respect a no

A decline needs no reason and no follow-up. Asking repeatedly, or approaching a family through another route after a decline, will end your access.

Be honest and be prompt

Answer proposals within a reasonable time, even when the answer is no. Silence is harder on the other family than a clear response.

Protect the vulnerable

Never pressure a candidate, never discuss a candidate's health or family circumstances beyond what is necessary, and report anything that worries you.

When guidelines are broken

Reports go to our team, not to an automated system. Depending on severity we may issue a warning, restrict access, suspend an account, or remove a matchmaker's approval.
